One Little Gate, Two Big Eyes

Zuzu the squirrel had two big eyes—really big. One morning, her eyes spotted

strange thing in the forest. It was a gate. A shiny, twisty, golden gate standing between two trees like it had grown there.

Zuzu blinked both big eyes. “Zuzu sees something weird,” she whispered.

Then—blip!—

tiny fireflies danced around the gate.

“One gate,” Zuzu counted. “Two glowy bugs.”

The gate creaked open. Zuzu grinned. “Zuzu’s going in!”
