Tale twist
Casy and the Busy Bees
Listen to audiobook
A Buzz in the Air
Casy wriggled through the tall grass, her belly full from munching on leaves. Suddenly, she heard a strange buzzing sound.
“What’s that noise?” Casy muttered, looking around.
She spotted a bee flying nearby, zipping from flower to flower.
“Hey, you!” Casy called. “What are you doing?”
The bee paused mid-flight, eyeing Casy with suspicion. “I’m working, little caterpillar. Unlike some creatures who just eat and nap!”
Casy frowned. “I don’t just nap! What are you doing that’s so important?”
The bee sighed. “I’m collecting nectar to make honey. I help plants grow by spreading pollen. It’s very busy work.”
Casy's eyes widened. “Honey? Pollen? Sounds sticky! Can I help?”
The bee raised an eyebrow. “Help? You?”
Casy puffed up her chest. “I’m very good at finding things!”
“Bees visit flowers to spread pollen, helping plants make seeds and grow,” the bee explained.
Casy’s face lit up. “I want to help with that!”
